A tribute to Mazatec healer María Sabina, whose willingness to share her ancestral knowledge helped bring global awareness to Indigenous understandings of consciousness, healing, and our relationship with nature.

This gathering honors her legacy—and the many cultures around the world that have long understood the power of music, community, and shared experience in human well-being.

This event respectfully honors traditions from around the world that recognized gathering, rhythm, and shared experience as part of individual and community well-being.

It is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and remember that community itself can be restorative.

DANCE CULTURE AS AFTERCARE

Today, clinicians recognize that creativity, music, movement, belonging, and supportive community can help people integrate life’s meaningful experiences.

.Dance culture has quietly practiced many of these principles for decades.

This gathering makes those practices more accessible to everyone.
