Psychedelic Futures is a free, biweekly meeting to connect people with an interest in psychedelics. We welcome you to join us in growing the psychedelic community in Chicago. All are welcome - from clinicians to enthusiasts to the psychedelic-curious! We will discuss the past and future of psychedelics in our society, sometimes using readings as our guide and sometimes our own personal experiences. These sessions are led by UChicago anthropologist and Sana intern, Lorna Hadlock.
We will meet on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at 11:30 am at Sana Healing Collective or virtually. On March 8th, we will meet in person at Sana. On March 22nd, we will meet virtually via Zoom at 11:30 am.
The book for March is an anthology edited by Stephen Gray called How Psychedelics Can Help Save the World: Visionary and Indigenous Voices Speak Out. As always, our discussion will offer opportunities to talk about the book and/or our own personal experiences and perspectives! Please feel free to attend even if you haven't had a chance to read (we typically take the time to read an excerpt together, and discussion questions are pretty open-ended).
Sign up for the in-person meeting on March 8th here, and sign up for the March 22nd virtual meeting here. Please note our meeting times have shifted to 11:30 am.
Here is a link to purchase the book from the Sana Bookshop, where you can also find April’s book, Psychedelic Justice: Toward a Diverse and Equitable Psychedelic Culture edited by
Beatriz Caiuby Labate and Clancy Cavnar. In April, we will meet on April 12th in-person and April 26th virtually to discuss.
Here is a link to buy the book and help Sana with the proceeds.
Participation in the group is free, but donations to Sana are always appreciated!
